Broadcast option to reduce Network Traffic in Subnetwork.
Outlook Messenger Broadcast tool helps to reduce your network traffic to communicate
with other Subnetworks.
Install the Broadcast Service Tool in only
ONE computer per network and make sure Broadcast service is running. Other network
users using the Broadcast Service Status tool, have to add the IP Address of the computer running the Broadcast Service Tool in their Outlook Messenger Settings (Users Tab >
Broadcast). There is no need to add Range or Single sub network IP Address’s.
Users need to add the Broadcast Service IP address of the other sub network computers. There is no need to add their own network Broadcast service IP Address.
E.g.: In an office with 2 sub networks:
192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.25
192.168.2.1 to 192.168.2.25
Assume Broadcast service is installed & running in 192.168.1.3
& 192.168.2.2
Outlook Messenger Users of 192.168.1.1 to
192.168.1.25 should add 192.168.2.2 in their
Broadcast settings.
Similarly 192.168.2.1 to 192.168.2.25
users should add 192.168.1.3 in their Broadcast settings.
It is not necessary to add their own network broadcast service IP Address.
